About Us

Bhutan is experiencing rapid social and demographic change. In rural areas, men often migrate to towns and cities for work, leaving women at home. As rural women take on increased responsibilities in agriculture, household, and community duties, CEP provides a vital platform for their voices. This small and informal space fosters self-expression and boosts confidence, enabling them to develop initiatives to improve their livelihood and community.
DLGDM, together with JICA, is implementing the project for “Promoting Inclusive Participation Leveraging Community Engagement Platform” (PRICE). The project aims to identify and address gender-related issues through the CEP mechanism with a gender perspective.
